Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and US punk icon Patti Smith have announced a show in Paris to rally support for a global deal on climate change.
The December 4 event will come as representatives around the world converge on the French capital with a goal of reaching a new agreement to stem the planet's rising temperatures.
Billed as a concert and debate, the event will also include leading US climate activist Bill McKibben, US author and globalisation critic Naomi Klein and the Indian environmental campaigner Vandana Shiva.
Other performers will include Flea, the bassist of California rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Yorke, who has played comparatively few shows recently as Radiohead apparently records a new album, is well-known for his activism on climate change.
The Paris event follows a show last year in New York led by Jesse Paris Smith, the musician and daughter of the punk godmother, that coincided with a UN summit on climate change.
