Barely three months have passed since three major surprises occurred in Saudi singer Mohammed Abdu ‘s life. He suffered three strokes, and was transferred to a hospital in France for treatment, only for him to reveal that he has officially wed a French woman of Algerian origins. Close people to the singer pointed out that the news of the newlywed were a surprise to everyone, adding that Abdu’s wife is still studying at university. Nora, daughter of “The Artist of Arabs” denied rumors of her father quitting singing, confirming that her father’s new wife is not a girl in her twenties but a woman in her thirties. She explained that her father got married to the French woman about four months ago before undergoing surgery, but he did not announce the news until after the surgery and his health condition stabilized. He is currently in Paris and is recovering very well. Nora added: “My father did not divorce my mother, Um Abdelrahman, recently. It was 11 years ago, and he doesn’t like talking about these matters to the press as they are private issues.” She said that doctors told her father that he won’t be able to take on the stage at the moment, but that he won’t be quitting singing as he “adores singing and would never quit.”
